About the Organization:
The National
Association for Health and Fitness (NAHF) is a non-profit organization that
exists to improve the quality of life for individuals in the United States through
the promotion of physical fitness, sports and healthy lifestyles and by the
fostering and supporting of Governor’s and State Councils on physical fitness
and sports in every state and U.S. territory.
Currently, 29 states have
active councils that promote physical fitness for persons of all ages and abilities.
Governor and State Councils represent the grassroots programs that encourage
the need for and benefits of regular physical activity reaching more than 215
million people through state and local programs.
NAHF is also the national
sponsor of National Employee Health and Fitness, the largest worksite health
and fitness event in the United States, and Let's Get Physical, the national
fitness challenge and the Make Your Move! program, incentive-based, worksite
health promotion campaign.

National Employee Health & Fitness Program
This national program is initiated each May to encourage employees to become active and healthier through fun, non-competitive activities.
Let's Get Physical
The Let's Get Physical worksite health promotion program is based on the Surgeon General's Report, which recommends moderate physical activity on most days of the week.
Make Your Move!
This incentive-based program contains modules for custom-designing physical activity campaigns from 1 to 12 weeks in length.
