About the Organization:
What is the NSGA?
A not-for-profit organization
dedicated to motivating senior men and women to lead a healthy lifestyle through
the senior games movement.
The organization that governs the Summer National Senior Games – The Senior
Olympics and the Winter National Senior Games – The Senior Olympics. These
national competitions are held during odd-numbered and even-numbered years,
respectively.
An umbrella for member state organizations across the United States that host
State Senior Games or Senior Olympics. We support and sanction these member
state organizations so that you (and about 250,000 other senior athletes) can
participate in events year-round that will keep you motivated, keep you healthier
and keep you in touch with the senior games movement.
A national association that works with state and federal agencies, colleges
and universities to better understand and support healthy aging initiatives
for seniors. Our education and research initiatives enable senior athletes to
be better informed and to better inform others about ways to ensure healthy
aging.
An organization that partners with national leaders committed to senior health,
wellness and medical care. Your health, and the ways to maintain and improve
it, is a common goal of NSGA sponsors. We are committed to providing you information
to support your goals of leading a healthier lifestyle.
Whether you're a seasoned
athlete who has been competing for years or an eager rookie who is ready to
get off the couch, the NSGA is committed to supporting you in your efforts to
stay healthy, active and fit.
